 Dry Chemical Powder Extinguisher |
The ABE Powder extinguishers are suitable Class A type fires: paper, textiles, wood, plastic, rubber. These extinguishers ranges from a 1kg (suitable for households and vehicles) to a 9kg model (industrial model). These extinguishers are not suitable for office areas with electronic and sensitive equipment, as it's discharge is a very fine powder and infiltrates the equipment.  Carbon Dioxide Extinguisher |
The Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Extinguishers have a "clean" discharge and is therefore recommended for use in electronic environments and is ideal for Class E fires. These extinguishers ranges from 2k to 5kg. It is not recommended for areas with limited or no air movement and should be used with care in small confined spaces.  Wet Chemical Extinguisher |
The Wet Chemical Extinguishers are available in 2lt and 7lt sizes. These extinguishers are suitable for Class F fires and discharges into a fine spray.It can also be used for Class A fires. The agent forms a blanket over the burning oil and/or fat and changes it into a soap-like substance. It is therefore not recommended to be used on electronic equipment.  Foam Fire Extinguisher |
The Foam Extinguishers are effective against Class A & B fires. The foam forms a blanket covering the fire and thus removing oxygen and it's ability to continue burning. For this reason this type of extinguisher is not suitable for Class E fires: electrical and electronic equipment. The Foam Extinguisher is available in a 9lt size.  Air Water Extinguisher |
The Air Water Extinguishers are suitable for Class A fires. The water reduces the fuel temperature which extinguishes the flame. Water extinguishers are not suitable for oil/fat and electrical fires and can be dangerous if used incorrectly. It comes in a 9lt capacity. Mobile Fire Extinguishers are normally used where a substantial amount of fire extinguishing agent is required. Dry Chemical Powder (DCP) Mobile Extinguishers ranges from 25kg upwards.
